1969 #6263
Indy Eagle
Indy Eagle was one of the debut 1969 Grand Prix castings sculpted by Ira Gilford, modeled after the AAR Eagle Mk2 open-wheel racer built for Indianapolis with its distinctive "beak nose." It was sold in Hong Kong-made Redline releases with a metal Collector's Button and came on unpainted, silver-painted, or black-painted metal bases, with blue-tinted glass on production runs and clear glass turning up on prototypes.
